Dr Justine Afra Huxley Ph.D. helps individuals, communities and organisations prepare for the times ahead.  

Formerly, the CEO of St Ethelburga's Centre for Reconciliation & Peace in London and responsible for positioning its strategy at the intersection of climate and peace, she now works partly under St Ethelburga's umbrella and partly independently.   

 

Her work involves inspiring people face the future with courage and use the crisis to reconnect with what is essential.  She catalyses inner resilience.  She calls people everywhere to bring the best of themselves to these extraordinary times, to lead with conviction, to strengthen community bonds and to re-discover love for Earth.  

Dr Justine Huxley 

Justine has a B.Sc. in psychology, a Ph.D.in psychology and a diploma in integrative counselling.  She is the editor of Generation Y, Spirituality and Social Change, a collection of stories and interviews showing how the younger generation are re-inventing spirituality for times of crisis.  She is currently working on a new book about the evolution of spirituality in response to global crisis, and the role of spirituality in navigating times of ecological and social collapse.  In addition to leading  a peace centre, Justine's previous background also included addiction research, communication consultancy, and five years on the trading floor of an investment bank.  In her youth she was also professional camel trainer.  She has completed CPD trainings in:  systemic coaching; ecological leadership; restorative practice; conflict coaching; hakomi body-centred psychotherapy; focusing; psychosynthesis and many more.
